The Free Throw Foundation are thrilled to announce Andrew McLeod and Brett Maher as our guest speakers for our Christmas Luncheon. In May this year these two great mates and Hall of Famers, decided to band together to talk all things sport and life, on their new podcast – The Bunji and Brettster Show. The result so far has been lots of laughs, a little controversy and some special guests including Adelaide born & bred, Utah Jazz shooting guard, 3x Olympian, and NBL Champion, Joe Ingles!
Andrew McLeod Known as Bunji to most people, Andrew is an AFL and Adelaide Crows Hall of Fame Member who played 340 games. Andrew’s accolades include being: 5x All Australian; All Australian Captain; 3x Club Champion; 2x Premiership Player; 2x Norm Smith Medalist; Captain of Australian International Rules Series; Leigh Matthews MVP Winner; Jim Stynes Medalist; Michael Tuck Medalist; Polly Farmer Medalist; and Indigenous Team of the Century Member.
Brett Maher Brettster is an Australian Basketball and Adelaide 36ers Hall of Fame Member who played 526 NBL games. Brett’s career highlights include being: 36ers Captain from 1997-2009; 3x NBL Champion; 6x Club MVP; 2x Larry Sengstock Medalist; 3x NBL First Team; 4x NBL All Star; 3x Olympian; Gaze Medal Winner; and in his honour the 36ers home court is named after Brett, with his Jersey #5 hanging from the rafters.
The FTF Board hope that this Festive Luncheon will provide a fantastic opportunity for the SA Basketball Community to come together to celebrate the end of what has been a challenging year for all!
