Professionally Scott is the Business Development manager at Job Prospects, a division of the Service to Youth Council.

He has been at SYC for 15 years and has had a range of roles including Corporate Fundraising and event management

Scott Whitmore has spent the last 8 years as head coach of the Central district lions men’s program, previous to this he was an assistant coach at the Lions for two seasons.

Scott previously spent 15 years as a senior player at Woodville finishing his career as captain in 2004.

Scott has played over 440 senior ABA games and scored over 4000 points. Scott was a member of the 2000 Warriors ABL Championship team.

Scott was also a member of the 2004 ABL Grand Final team at the Warriors. During his playing days at Woodville he has received the following awards, Club Best and Fairest, Club Most Valuable Player, Life Membership. Scott was also named in Woodville’s greatest team of all time.

In 2012 Scott was inducted into the Woodville Basketball Club Hall of Fame.

He spent 2 years with the Adelaide Buffalo’s while under the control of 36ers Coach and current NBA coach Mike Dunlap.

Scott was a member of the Murray Bridge team that finished National ABL runners up in 1996.

In 1998/99 Scott played a professional season in the Dutch National league where his Amsterdam Astronauts were crowned National and Cup Champions in the same year.

Scott is also a 300 club/life member of Basketball South Australia.

He is also the current Under 20 state men’s coach.
