Press Release;
Assist Program Funding Now Open!

The Free Throw Foundation is delighted to announce today the release of another round of funding to the SA Basketball community through its “Assist Program”.

“The Assist Program is the foundations main purpose specifically designed to give available funds to those who need it most, it’s the reason we do what we do and to continue to have funds available for the SA basketball community for distribution is a great achievement.” Free Throw Foundation Chairman Brad Haydon said today.

“We aim to provide funds each year, to do this we rely on the money raised through our events, sponsorship and other fundraising activities. This year we have also had a special donation provided by the Danics family. The family generously asked that donations be made in lieu of flowers for Basketball SA legend Miķelis Dancis recent funeral. This donation will go directly into supporting the basketball community that Miķelis was so proud to represent” Haydon said.

 “As always we follow a strict process of good corporate governance as we review all of our applicants. It is a difficult and time consuming process but our volunteer board remain diligent to ensure we get the right outcomes.” Haydon said.

Applications for assist funding can be lodged direct from the website freethrowfoundation.com.au/apply
